【アーティスト・ステートメント】

 

Faux Meat は、森の中で二人のパフォーマーが人工植物や自然の風景、自らの身体とともに儀式的な行為を行う様子を追った2つの映像インスタレーションです。人工の植物を剪定したり、清めたり、植えたりといった象徴的なジェスチャーを通じて、この作品は人工性、クィアな存在、そして有機的なものと人工的なものとの間にある緊張関係を探求します。

 

Faux Meat is a two-channel video installation following two performers in a forest as they engage in ritualistic actions with faux plants, natural landscapes and their bodies. Through symbolic gestures such as trimming, cleaning, and planting the artificial flora, the film explores themes of artificiality, queer existence, and the tension between organic and synthetic life.
