TONBO  is the audiovisual journal of AnaRosa and Nico Trompe,  two beings in constant migration searching for the sound of ancient musical instruments, which they process with contemporary technologies to create meditative soundscapes. In this edition TONBO presents the journey that unfolded by following the sound of Mukkuri –the Ainu mouth harp– from Berlin to Japan, finally meeting its origins in the island of Hokkaido. The journey depicts the survival of theses sounds amidst the noises of a post-industrialised country, resulting into a contrasting and unpredictable composition.

TONBOは、アナロサとニコ・トロンぺによる音響と映像の記録で、二人は、古い楽器の音を探しながら旅を続けていて、最新の技術を使い瞑想的な音の世界を制作しています。今回、TONBOは、アイヌ民族で受け継がれている口笛、ムックリの音をベルリンから日本へ、更に北海道にと追いかけながら展開された旅をもとに表現しています。この旅を通して垣間見た先進国の足跡の音が生命力の音として共鳴されています。

 

The artists will open the early stage of this work-in-process in Tenyinjama Art Studio. 

このさっぽろ天神山アートスタジオの施設で、彼らの作品を実験的に披露してくれます。
