9月23〜25日の3日間、当館展示スペースでパフォーミングアーツの公演『わたし、と、ぽぽばび』が開催されます。

「友だち」について考えるアート･プロジェクト「わたし、と、ぽぽばび」の一環としておこなわれる本公演。

参加メンバーの上牧晏奈さん、平尾拓也さん、池田優香さんは、公演に先立ち、当館で短期集中型のレジデンスを敢行しました。

 

朝早くから展示スペースに集う皆さん。なにやら体を動かしたり、じっくり話し合いをしたり。

そろりとお邪魔すると…なんと床には人工芝、天井には色とりどりの照明が設置されていました。

昨日までしんとしていたギャラリーが、見違えたように活気づいています。

 

 

 

池田　「…だからあのときは、空中に浮いてる言葉を掴むように声に出してた」

平尾　「うんうん、言いたいことは伝わってきてると思うよ」

上牧　「？！ …え、今のでわかったの？？？」

 

 

声の大きさも発話量も三者三様の皆さん。

そんななかでも、発言ひとつひとつへの驚くほど真摯な姿勢が会話空間に通底していたのが、とても印象的でした。

 

 

 

役者、物書き、ダンサー、と普段は異領域で活動している3人ですが、今回のパフォーミングアーツ・プロジェクトはいったいどう展開していくのか？

Tenjinyama’s gallery space will be prepared for “わたし、と、ぽぽばび” (literally: Popobabi and I) from 23rd to 25th of September. It is a presentation of performing arts.

Participant-artists Anna Uemaki, Takuya Hirao, and Yuka Ikeda, counducted a short-term concentration residency beforehand at Tenjinyama Art Studio.

 

Right down stairs fro their Studio Apartment, three artists gathered in a gallery space, from the early morning.

Various physical movements were being made while they talk and talk and talk and talk.

On the floor was sheets of artificial turf, lightened up by popcicle colored illumination. The white cube seemed more lively than ever.

 

Ikeda: …So, for that moment, I was vocalizing the words floating in the air, as if I’m capturing them.

Hirao: Yes, yes. I believe your intention is getting assimilated.

Uemaki: ?! Wait, how on earth you’ve known what she meant???

 

With some voices high and some others low, with some sentences longer and others shorter, it was fascinating to see how each of the three never compromized on their reiterating verbal communication.
