ステートメント/Artist Statement
それぞれのアーティストは、自らが出会った空間とのつながりを探求しています。
カリーナ・ラミレスは、ありふれた場所が絵画を通して大切な記憶へと変容する過程を観察します。
ヤスミン・ラミレスは、建築や風景のデザイン要素を取り入れ、自身の記憶から着想を得た風景を創り出します。
ジリアン・ホイットニーは教師としての経験をもとに、地域社会における学校の役割や、そこに影響を与える問題について考察します。
Each of these artist explores their connection with the spaces that they encounter. Karina Ramirez observes the transformation of a common place into a treasured memory through painting. Yasmin Ramirez pulls on design elements from architecture and landscapes to create a scene inspired by her memories. Jillian Whitney draws on her experience as a teacher to study the role of schools within their community and the issues that affect them.
