■ 展覧会「ポープル / Pourpre」について

＊「ポープル」はPourpre＝紫のフランス語発音をカタカナ表記したものです。

「ポープル / Pourpre」では、ドローイングとペインティングを伴ったビデオで構成されたインスタレーションとして展示します。ビデオはいくつかのパートに分かれており、まるで短編小説集のようです。アニメーション・シークエンス、ビデオ映像、それらのハイブリッドで構成されています。ドローイングとペインティングは、アニメーション素材となっています。

アーティスト・イン・レジデンスというコンテクスト（文脈・背景）の影響を最大限に受けながら、様々なテクニックを自由に試してみたかったので、制作に入るまでは事前に何も計画していませんでした。

天神山アートスタジオは、幅広い年齢層の人々が訪れる活気に満ちた公共の場です。子どもたちがたくさん遊んでいることに気がつきました。彼らはその場所特有のシナリオやゲームを想像しているようです。私も同じように、この場所を探検しようとしました。創作過程では、とある瞬間をビデオに収め、アニメーションを取り入れてユニークなシーンを作り上げようとしました。

The project is titled “Pourpre.” It is an installation composed of a video accompanied by drawings and paintings. The video is divided into several parts, resembling a collection of short stories. It includes animation sequences, video footage, and hybrids. The drawings and paintings make up the animated material of the video.

I wanted to experiment freely with various techniques while maximizing the influence of the residency context, I had not planned anything in advance.

The Tenjinyama art studio is a very lively public place with people visiting from all ages. I’ve noticed a lot of children playing. They imagine scenarios and games specific to a given place. I sought to explore locations in the same way. The creative process involves capturing moments on video and then incorporating animations to create unique scenes.
