コン・ジス（Kong Jisu）は、これまでにさっぽろ天神山アートスタジオに滞在し、北海道各地を巡りながら写真制作を行ってきました。本展では、札幌および北海道での滞在中に撮影した写真作品を展示します。

異邦の地で、私たちは日常の顔を脱ぎ捨てる。
北海道の冷たい風と雪の下、重くなりそうな空気よりも、ふわふわと漂う不安と異質感が先に迫ってくる。
静かで寂寥としたフレームの中に、非言語的な眼差しと身振りが染み込む。
不均衡な構成と色調の中で、作家の視線が投影され、私たちは写真の向こう側の顔を静かに推測する。
だが、この脱ぎ捨ての果ては、皮肉にも自分自身の顔を取り戻すことだ。
写真集に収まらなかった北海道の瞬間を通じて続く。
見知らぬ木、独り残る足音、謎めいた場所と建物たち、見知らぬ顔に宿る深い瞳。
これらすべてが、重なり固まった仮面を剥ぎ取り、私らしい顔を新たに構成する。
旅とは、結局、私たちが本当の顔を持つまで続く人生の道なのだ。
北海道で、私は取り戻しゆく顔を写真に残した。

In an unfamiliar place, we let go of the face we wear every day.
Under Hokkaido’s cold wind and falling snow,
a floating unease and estrangement arrive before the heavy air settles.
They seep quietly into hushed frames through wordless gazes and gestures.
In unbalanced compositions and shifting tones, the photographer’s gaze is reflected,
inviting us to wonder about the face behind the lens.
Yet, paradoxically, this letting go leads to reclaiming one’s true face.
The exhibition continues through Hokkaido moments left out of the photobook
unfamiliar trees, footsteps, buildings and places,deep eyes in faces.
All gently peel away hardened masks and compose a face that is truly my own.
Travel is the lifelong path until we possess our real face.
Here in Hokkaido, I photographed the faces I was slowly reclaiming.
